Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Abdul Jcool (ranked 5672 p4p, 24162 weight class) and Afonso Padilha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jcool kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Eye of the tiger. Afonso Padilha has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Abdul Jcool's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Padilha misses the target.
Padilha lands with a right hand.
Jcool looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Jcool misses with a takedown attempt - Padilha sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jcool slips a jab from Padilha.
Padilha takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Jcool scores with a head kick. Padilha tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Padilha is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jcool.

Afonso Padilha is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Padilha throws out a loose jab but Jcool uses good head movement to avoid it.
As Padilha tries to get set, Jcool tries to push him back and clinch up but Padilha manages to avoid the attempt.
Padilha moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Padilha is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Jcool had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Padilha throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jcool stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Padilha counters with a nice uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jcool tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Padilha defends well and Jcool ends up having to push Padilha into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Padilha bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Oh Jcool is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jcool walks straight into a right hand from Padilha - that's dropped him! Padilha jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Jcool from any more punishment! Jcool complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Abdul Jcool was interviewed post fight and said '"Everybody out there know I beat him, I controlled the fight, he was missing, I hit him plenty more times. I beat him.Let me talk something... I want to thank the whole hood who came out here. I love y'all. I did this for the hood, you know I beat that boy.'.
