Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoover lands a jab-cross combination.

It looks like Jack Lawson has been cut.

Hoover clinches.
Lawson fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Hoover's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hoover closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Lawson is rocked!

Hoover takes the fight into the clinch.
Hoover lands an elbow that stopped Lawson in his tracks for a moment.

Hoover's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Hoover shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lawson napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Lawson can't do much from the bottom here.
Hoover wants to stand but Lawson has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.
Hoover wants to get up but he can't break Lawson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Hoover decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lawson, up you get!
Lawson seems to have recovered his senses.

Lawson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hoover avoids it really well and circles away.
Hoover appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Danny Hoover seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hoover throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lawson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Hoover throws a right and a left that both miss.
Lawson changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Hoover looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hoover lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Hoover punishes Lawson's body with a nice straight punch.
Lawson looks winded!

Hoover takes the fight into the clinch.

Hoover breaks from the clinch.
Lawson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hoover is fending him off so far but Lawson persists. Nope, Hoover circles away and we're back to standing.

Hoover lands with a right that hurts Lawson. Lawson looks to clinch but Hoover throws a short knee that drops Lawson. This one is all over!
