Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between YB Sol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dungeon Master (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sol's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, SFIV - Theme of Ryu 2. Master has chosen I'm On a Boat as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, YB Sol! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dungeon Master! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Master throws a right and a left that both miss. Master misses with a wild combination.
Sol takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Master looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Master fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sol takes the fight into the clinch. Master wants to break free but Sol has control.
Sol taking a breather. Sol lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Master backwards. Master takes a knee right on the jaw!
Sol works on Master's body with a couple of short punches. Sol keeps control of Master as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Master is trying to break free. Sol lands a hook to the side of the head. Sol has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Master is trying to keep an underhook but Sol manages to get the takedown into half guard. Sol keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Master looking for submissions off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sol is nestled in close to Master, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Sol controlling the pace. Sol has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Sol is looking to advance position but Master won't allow it. Sol takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Sol stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Master thows a body shot but no joy. Master scoring well with a low kick there.
Sol moves out of range of the leg kick from Master. Dungeon Master is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sol closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Master is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sol performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Master trying to get back to full guard but Sol takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sol looking to control and managing it successfully. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Master keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Sol takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The referee stands the fighters back up. YB Sol just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. A head kick misses from Master. Master throws a right and a left that Sol avoids nicely. Master misses with a wild body shot. Master misses with a wild combination.

Sol tries to clinch but Master moves out of range. Master fails to land with a series of punches.
Master throws a chopping leg kick but Sol manages to avoid taking any serious damage. No joy there for Master, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Sol fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Master sprawls well initially but Sol persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Sol controlling the action here. Master is trying to get back to full guard. Master is staying active underneath Sol, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Master wants to get back to full guard.

Sol preventing the sweep. Sol throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Sol stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Master swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Master had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Sol is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Master Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Sol's back instead. Sol tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Sol is trying desperately to improve position. Sol trying desperately to get to his feet.
Master trying to control but Sol is having none of it. Sol is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sol tries to reverse the position but Master maintains control. Sol manages to regain half guard. Good work. Sol is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Master's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Master's back! Master is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Sol has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Master's body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Master manages to reverse the position and now he's in Sol's guard. Nice work there by Master.
Master slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Master is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sol knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Master is breathing heavily. Master goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Sol has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Master but great work by Sol. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
YB Sol dominated that second round. That's time! Sol's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Sol feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Master's calf. Sol moves into the clinch successfully.
Sol works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Master looking to control.
Sol slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Master controls Sol momentarily but Sol frees himself. Master looking for a guillotine here but Sol defends easily.
Master being controlled here, momentarily. YB Sol overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Master takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Master is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Sol controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sol lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Master or not. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Sol. Sol crunches a lovely knee into Master's ribcage. Sol has hold of one of Master's legs. Master is fighting the takedown attempt but Sol gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Master has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sol can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Sol stays in close to Master's body and controls the position. Master is trying to control the position but Sol postures up. Sol stays in close to Master's body and controls the position. Master can't keep hold of the triangle and Sol manages to pass to side control! Master being controlled for a moment. Master tries to buck Sol off but Sol is having none of it. Master is trying to control Sol's posture but Sol avoids it. Sol wants to take a breather but Master manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Sol. YB Sol clearly takes that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Dungeon Master seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Master stalks Sol and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sol's face. Sol staggers backwards, shaken. Master looks to land a combination but Sol avoids it well. Master throws a nice looking combination but Sol bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Sol waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Master. Sol lands with an uppercut that bounces Master off the cage and back into rage. Master stalks Sol and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sol's face. Sol staggers backwards, shaken. Horrible takedown by Sol or perhaps it was just good defense by Master which made him look bad. Sol moves out of range as Master throws a body kick.

Sol wants to control from the top but Master keeps moving. Sol not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Sol tries to free his leg and advance position but Master is retaining full guard. Master looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Master trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Master throws his legs up looking for a submission but Sol uses it to pass to side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Master trying to keep a closed guard but Sol is proving a slippery customer.
Master is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Master working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sol doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sol manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Sol sitting in guard here, content to control. Master looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

A close fourth round but Dungeon Master will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Sol tries to bum rush Master with a series of wild strikes but Master uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Sol goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Sol lands a really nice looking cross but Master seems unphased.
Sol feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Sol content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Master tries to strike from the bottom.
