Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jim Babcock (ranked 419 p4p, 673 weight class) and Alexander Korolev (ranked 67 p4p, 94 weight class). Babcock comes to the cage accompanied by San Francisco Live Medley. The crowd seem to be enjoying Korolev's choice of entrance music: Holding Out For A Hero (EuroMash). Alexander Korolev acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alexander Korolev!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Tarja Halkonen and Ben Zyskovitsi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Babcock stalks Korolev and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Korolev's face. Korolev staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Alexander Korolev has been cut.

Babcock takes the fight into the clinch.
Korolev tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Babcock's elbow.
Korolev misses with a punch on the inside.
Babcock tries to throw a body punch but Korolev avoids it by throwing Babcock back against the cage.
Babcock controlling the action here for a moment.
Korolev misses with the head strike.
Korolev trying to stall but Babcock improves his position.
Babcock is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Korolev struggles to land a body shot inside as Babcock controls his hands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Korolev's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The crowd cheers as Babcock lands an impressive looking overhand right. Korolev doesn't seem phased though.

Babcock has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Babcock postures up in Korolev's guard and throws a big left but Korolev blocks it.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

That has opened up Alexander Korolev's cut even more.
Babcock stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Korolev swivels though and keeps the full guard.
