PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Morgan Littlechild (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and john paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Littlechild comes to the cage accompanied by Face The Pain. Morgan Littlechild had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 157.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Littlechild looks for a takedown but paul sprawls well.

Littlechild closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Littlechild lands in his opponent's guard.

Littlechild stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. paul swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

paul shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than paul was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

paul is going olschool here, as he tries to force Littlechild to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Littlechild shrugs it off.

paul fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

paul is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Littlechild is surviving well by controlling paul's body position as best he can.

Littlechild has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. paul avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
paul blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

paul lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Littlechild down.

Littlechild is desperately trying to improve his position but paul has a good base and remains in mount.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if paul can do anything to dispel that myth.

Littlechild drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Littlechild jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

john paul showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

paul shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Littlechild napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Littlechild is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

paul is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Littlechild defends it well.

paul slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Littlechild has instead reached around paul's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Littlechild arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
