Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rudi Kardi (ranked 2331 p4p, 5514 weight class) and Sahil Warner (ranked 130 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 2, fighting out of London, Rudi Kardi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sahil Warner!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Daniel Bishop and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kardi shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Warner manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Kardi passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Kardi is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Warner has escaped the position, nice work there.
Warner misses with an elbow from the bottom.
Kardi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Kardi is trying to get an arm triangle but Warner is defending well.

Kardi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Warner is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kardi has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Warner tries to bench press Kardi off him but Kardi keeps the position.

Kardi connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Warner some visible discomfort.

Kardi swings around for an armbar but Warner sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Kardi's guard.

Warner wants to control from the top but Kardi keeps moving.

Warner has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Kardi to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Warner is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Kardi pulls down on the head and he's put Warner to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Rudi Kardi!
