Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tim Holmberg (ranked 3181 p4p, 2330 weight class) and EL Chapo (ranked 380 p4p, 279 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tim Holmberg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, EL Chapo!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chapo looks to land a combination but Holmberg avoids it well.
Chapo scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Chapo looks to land a left hand but Holmberg moved out of range nicely.
Chapo misses with a series of wild punches.
Chapo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Holmberg drops down looking for a counter takedown but Chapo sprawls and moves away.
The fighters circle momentarily. Chapo darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It looks like Tim Holmberg has been cut.
Chapo scores with a jab to the jaw.
Chapo looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Holmberg throws a body punch but Chapo moves out of range.
No luck for Holmberg with that takedown attempt.
Chapo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

We've been told by Holmberg's head coaches at The Tank Factory that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Chapo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Holmberg lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Chapo tries to bum rush Holmberg with a series of wild strikes but Holmberg uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

That was a close round but I would say that Tim Holmberg will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Holmberg stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chapo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at EL Chapo's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
