Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Triston Santos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brunta Nguana!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Sandra Marshall and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nguana tries for a takedown but Santos circles away easily
and Santos counters by moving into the clinch.
Santos using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Nguana has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Triston Santos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brunta Nguana.
Nguana has Santos pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Santos manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Nguana has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Santos is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Santos tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Nguana avoids it.

Nguana wants to take the fight to the mat but Santos manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Nguana looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Nguana goes for a takedown attempt but Santos pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Santos connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Nguana's hands.

Nguana closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Santos quickly recovers to half guard.
Santos wants to get back to full guard.

Santos is trying to control Nguana's posture. Nguana takes advantage of the lull and advances to side control. He also appears to have an arm triangle here! Uh oh, big trouble for Santos! Nguana is rotating here... this could be the end... Santos is out! Nguana has ended this one emphatically! Great submission!
