And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 4 losses; Benjamin Sisko! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Alopodis shoots in and gets a takedown into Sisko's guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Alopodis (2) vs (0) Sisko Alopodis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Sisko is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Alopodis drops back looking for a leg! Sisko is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sisko manages to kick Alopodis off! Alopodis jumps back into Sisko's guard. Alopodis advances to half guard. Sisko is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Sisko actively working from the bottom here. Alopodis is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Alopodis is working for a kimura but Sisko is defending it quite comfortably.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sisko looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Sisko looking for submissions off his back. Alopodis is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Alopodis is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sisko is just riding it out for now. Alopodis eventually gives up the hold. Sisko actively working from the bottom here.

Sisko is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Alopodis off and has taken his back! Score +4 for clean sweep to past guard: Alopodis (5) vs (4) Sisko Alopodis turns into Sisko and is now in his guard.
Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Alopodis (7) vs (4) Sisko Alopodis thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Alopodis stopping the sweep attempt from Sisko. Alopodis has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Sisko to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Alopodis is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Sisko pulls down on the head and he's put Alopodis to sleep! This one is all over!
