And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ezekiel Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Pereira moves into range and connects with a jab.
A looping hook to the body misses from Pereira. Johnson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Johnson is looking for the big counter here.
Pereira scores with a jab. Johnson acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

A quick step to the side and Pereira tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Pereira swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Ezekiel Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pereira throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Johnson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Johnson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pereira moves away.
Johnson looks winded!
Pereira sizes up Johnson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Johnson takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Johnson misses with a lunging right hand
and Pereira counters with a straight right hand.
Pereira scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Johnson doesn't seem bothered though.
Johnson looks to land a combination but Pereira avoids it well.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It looks like Ezekiel Johnson has been cut.

Pereira bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Pereira has been working on his boxing with his coaches at 3Band MMA in the buildup to the fight.
Pereira is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Johnson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Pereira makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Pereira paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Pereira's jab looks to have found its range, popping Johnson under the eye.

The fighters circle momentarily. Pereira darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Pereira is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Pereira scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Johnson doesn't seem bothered though.
Pereira throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Johnson on the side of the head.
Johnson is rocked!

Pereira scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Pereira ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Pereira lunges at Johnson with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Johnson's hand.
Pereira throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Johnson stumbling backwards into the cage! Johnson bounces back off the cage towards Pereira, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Pereira lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Pereira celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Sean Pereira!
