Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bob Joe (ranked 2909 p4p, 2747 weight class) and Blazej Maleszewski (ranked 220 p4p, 211 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bob Joe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Blazej Maleszewski! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Joe checks the leg kick. Joe looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Joe blocks a head kick by Maleszewski.
Joe slips a straight right by Maleszewski. Joe keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Joe closes this distance looking for a takedown but Maleszewski circles away. Maleszewski throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Joe misses with a takedown attempt - Maleszewski sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Maleszewski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Joe steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Maleszewski. Joe half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Joe shoots in looking for a takedown but Maleszewski manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Joe's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Maleszewski changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Joe. That's going to take a lot out of him. Maleszewski displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Joe. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A big right from Maleszewski misses. Joe half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Maleszewski ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Joe moves away. Maleszewski waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Joe. Joe slips under a jab from Maleszewski.
