Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shane Vasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tiger Bai Hua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shane Vasquez could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tiger Bai Hua's chin.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tiger Bai Hua! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bai Hua fails with a takedown attempt. Vasquez with a poor takedown and Bai Hua counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Vasquez! Vasquez can't escape the position.
Vasquez is working hard here to advance position. Bai Hua looking to control but Vasquez is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Vasquez tries to reverse the position but Bai Hua maintains control. Bai Hua punishing his opponent with strikes. Vasquez regains half guard. Vasquez looking for submissions off his back. Bai Hua tries to pass to full mount but Vasquez defends it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Vasquez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Vasquez is breathing heavily. Vasquez seems to be working for a kimura but Bai Hua defends the submission attempt. Bai Hua trying to control from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vasquez is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Bai Hua sees it coming and defends easily. Bai Hua is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Bai Hua is pressing down on Vasquez's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Vasquez stopping the sweep attempt from Bai Hua. Vasquez wants to pass the guard but Bai Hua is keeping the position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Bai Hua with a poor takedown and Vasquez counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Bai Hua's guard now. Bai Hua lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Vasquez!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bai Hua can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Vasquez is looking to escape. Vasquez is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Bai Hua lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Bai Hua postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Vasquez looks a forlorn figure.
Bai Hua tries to control but Vasquez wriggling away. Bai Hua cracks Vasquez with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Vasquez is looking to get to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Bai Hua trying to control but Vasquez is having none of it. Vasquez keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Bai Hua has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Vasquez's face.
Bai Hua tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Bai Hua wants to control the pace but Vasquez is squirming around nicely. Vasquez is trying to escape the mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Tiger Bai Hua will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Bai Hua lands with a kick to the temple. Vasquez shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Vasquez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Bai Hua struggling a bit here. Bai Hua gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Vasquez is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Bai Hua has managed to free his arm - good work. Vasquez is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bai Hua is just riding it out for now. Vasquez eventually gives up the hold. Vasquez is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bai Hua looking to hit a scissor sweep but Vasquez is one step ahead there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vasquez postures up.
Vasquez is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Vasquez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Vasquez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Bai Hua doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Vasquez. Bai Hua is pressing down on Vasquez's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Vasquez drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bai Hua dives on top into guard. Vasquez has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Bai Hua doesn't defend quickly enough and Vasquez has managed to lock this one up! Can Bai Hua escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Vasquez on a fantastic submission victory.
