The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Jones does no damage.
Jones darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
That has opened up Hulkki pete's cut even more.
Jones throws a right and a left that both miss.
Jones throws a shot from downtown. pete moves away and avoids it.
pete slips a jab and a cross from Jones.
pete shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
A punch combination from Jones misses.
A shot to de liver by Jones. Beautiful body shot.
pete looks gassed!
Jones drops pete with a nice combination! Jones dives into pete's guard, looking to finish!
pete is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jones has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of pete is proving hard to escape from.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones gets to his feet. pete looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jones connects with a good right hand that stumbles pete. pete circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Hulkki pete's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Jones fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jones goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Hulkki pete's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Cuba Jones!
