Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kurki Potku (ranked 379 p4p, 549 weight class) and Shaun Gonzalez (ranked 51 p4p, 75 weight class). Gonzalez comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Mind Playing Tricks On Me - Geto Boys kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shaun Gonzalez!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzalez slips under a jab from Potku.
Potku dives in for a single leg takedown but Gonzalez sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Potku swings around for an armbar but Gonzalez sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Potku's guard.
Gonzalez slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

That was a close round but I would say that Kurki Potku will probably get the nod.

Potku throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Potku changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gonzalez tries to avoid it but Potku manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gonzalez to the ground. Gonzalez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gonzalez scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Potku doesn't seem bothered though.

Gonzalez felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Potku has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Gonzalez finds it's way round the side to connect with Potku's head.
