Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stephan Risi (ranked 5219 p4p, 3460 weight class) and Praew Dao (ranked 475 p4p, 376 weight class). Risi comes to the cage accompanied by Where Rainbows Never Die - The Steeldrivers. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Chad Campbell and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dao lands a jab to the nose.
Dao misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Risi counters with a nice kick to the body.
Dao misses with a low kick.
Risi tried to counter with a leg kick but Dao avoided it.
Risi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Risi half committed to a counter leg kick.
Dao lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

and Risi counters with an inside leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Risi misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Dao counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Risi bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
It looked like Risi wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Dao clinches.
Dao lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Risi backwards.
Risi presses Dao against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Risi is trying to maintain a safe position but Dao gets an underhook and turns Risi into the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oooooh!!! Dao has knocked Risi down with a huge combo! Dao steps away and waves a wobbly Risi back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Risi is rocked!
Dao throws an overhand right that drops Risi like a sack of potatoes! Dao dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
