PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adeboye Temidare (ranked 10 p4p, 45 weight class) and Andrei Kersikov (ranked 3 p4p, 8 weight class). Kersikov is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Head of the Table. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 21 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Adeboye Temidare! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 27 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andrei Kersikov! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kersikov changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Temidare throws a lazy head kick and Kersikov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Temidare has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Shut Up & Train! in the buildup to the fight. Kersikov throws a push kick but Temidare slaps the foot to one side. Temidare swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Temidare will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Kersikov looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. A head kick by Temidare misses and Kersikov counters with a slapping leg kick. Temidare moves forwards but Kersikov connects with a nice, crisp jab. Temidare misses with a low kick as Kersikov jumps back. Kersikov lands a front kick. Temidare is breathing heavily. Kersikov throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Temidare crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Andrei Kersikov! Andrei Kersikov is the new heavyweight champion! Andrei Kersikov thanked the fans post fight for their support.
