Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vitali Kersikov I I (ranked 391 p4p, 386 weight class) and Gwynn Evans (ranked 52 p4p, 51 weight class). Kersikov I I comes to the cage accompanied by Sefa & Mr. Ivex - LSD Problem. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 21 - 12 - 1, fighting out of New York, Vitali Kersikov I I! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 27 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gwynn Evans! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Evans throws an off balance right hand
and Kersikov I I counters with a lovely straight right hand! Evans throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Evans on the wrong end of a nice hook. A combination from Kersikov I I does no damage. Evans moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
It looks like Vitali Kersikov I I has been cut. Evans throws a hook but Kersikov I I avoids it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A looping hook to the body misses from Evans. Kersikov I I does a little dance to reset his feet. Kersikov I I connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Evans with a nice cross.
That's one minute gone in the round. Evans thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Kersikov I I if he has to take too many more of those.

and Kersikov I I counters by clinching up. Evans misses with some punches.
A nice left hand lands by Evans.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Kersikov I I. Kersikov I I swings wildly with an uppercut but Evans uses good head movement to avoid it. Kersikov I I prevents a body shot from Evans. Our sources have told us that Kersikov I I has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight. Evans throws a head punch that misses. Evans lands a left hand.

Evans tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Kersikov I I's elbow. Evans breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kersikov I I misses with a straight left. Kersikov I I is looking to land body kicks. Kersikov I I throws the left hand but Evans avoids the punch easily. Evans looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kersikov I I uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Evans. Evans throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Kersikov I I tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Evans manages to circle out of the way. Kersikov I I throws a nice inside leg kick. Evans takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kersikov I I uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Evans. A chopping leg kick lands by Kersikov I I. Kersikov I I fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Evans pushes Kersikov I I up against the cage in a clinch. Evans breaks from the clinch.

and Evans counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Kersikov I I connects with a good right hand that stumbles Evans. Evans circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Evans darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Kersikov I I stuns Evans with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Evans throws a body punch but Kersikov I I moves out of range. Evans uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kersikov I I. Evans tries a quick counter leg kick but Kersikov I I is wise to it. Evans avoids the body shot from Kersikov I I.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A big right from Kersikov I I misses. Evans thinks about the counter body kick. Evans swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kersikov I I wants to clinch but Evans slips to the side and Evans counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Evans tries to land a body kick and Kersikov I I counters with a thumping low kick. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Vitali Kersikov I I will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Vitali Kersikov I I's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Kersikov I I scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
It looks like Gwynn Evans has been cut. Evans moves out of range of the body kick. Kersikov I I gets in close and tags Evans with a short punch that almost sends Evans to the mat! Oh Evans is in big trouble! He turns his back on Kersikov I I, trying to create some distance but Kersikov I I rushes him, striking wildly and Evans goes down! The referee tackles Kersikov I I into the cage to end the fight! Kersikov I I is one violent man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vitali Kersikov I I! Our winner, Vitali Kersikov I I, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
