Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Porter Terrell (ranked 4300 p4p, 4145 weight class) and Dominick Romero (ranked 428 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Porter Terrell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dominick Romero! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Romero throws a nice looking combination but Terrell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Romero gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Terrell breaks from the clinch.
Terrell cracks Romero with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
It looks like Dominick Romero has been cut. Terrell fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Romero manages to avoid it. Terrell looks to score with a jab to the body but Romero is just out of range. Terrell with a body punch. A glancing blow. Romero forces Terrell back against the cage and clinches. Romero has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Terrell avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Romero has Terrell pressed against the cage, preventing Terrell from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Terrell throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Romeros head. Romero breaks the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Terrell misses with a punch to the body.
Terrell lands a right hand. Romero stalling against the cage.
Romero is trying to drag Terrell to the mat but Terrell just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Terrell swings away with an uppercut that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Terrell digs a right hand into Romero's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Romero's gas tank. Stalling in the clinch from Romero.
Romero lands a takedown into guard.
Terrell is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Terrell on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Terrell tries to get out of the position. Romero forces his way into half guard. Romero is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Terrell makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Terrell. Romero controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Terrell is looking to sweep but instead, Romero has passed into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Romero controlling the action here. Terrell is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Romero postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Terrell to stand up. Romero moves into the clinch. Terrell is trying to force a seperation but Romero has the dominant position. Terrell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Romero gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Terrell. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Terrell throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Romero stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Romero throws a body shot but no joy. Porter Terrell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Romero lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Terrell has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Terrell and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Terrell throws out a powerful jab. Terrell sends Romero crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Terrell is motioning to the referee to let Romero up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Romero is rocked! Romero closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Romero is still on wobbly legs! Can Terrell finish him? Terrell tries a body shot but Romero blocks it.
Romero seems to have recovered his senses. Romero blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Romero is trying to trip Terrell. He has hold of a leg but Terrell is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Romero persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Terrell wants to sweep but no luck. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Romero loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Terrell being controlled here, momentarily. Terrell wants to sweep but no luck. Terrell can't keep his opponent in guard - Romero advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Terrell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Romero on the ground. Romero with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Romero has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Terrell is looking to improve his position.
Romero passes to side control. Terrell is trying to get back to half guard. Terrell is breathing heavily. Romero is working to tighten his grip on Terrell's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Terrell has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Romero is really squeezing tight and eventually Terrell passes out! Romero breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
