Graham has chosen Get Ready To Deal as his entrance music. Gus Pappas could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Billy Graham's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gus Pappas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Graham!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pappas throws a combination. Graham tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Pappas throws a body punch but Graham moves out of range.
Pappas pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Gus Pappas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Graham misses with the combination.
Pappas throws a looping overhand right but Graham ducks down to avoid it.
Pappas tries to score with a low kick but Graham moves his leg out of the way.
Pappas tries to close the distance and clinch up but Graham swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Pappas looks to land a right hand but Graham moved out of range.
Pappas looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Pappas misses with a kick to the body.
Pappas throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Graham counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Graham.
Pappas not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Graham stands up over Pappas, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pappas is on top in guard.

Graham has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pappas can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Pappas postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Graham can't keep his opponent in guard - Pappas advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pappas has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Pappas wants to control from the top but Graham keeps moving.

Pappas has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Graham is working away from the top position though.

Graham is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Pappas doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Graham.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Graham is looking for a kimura here.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Pappas swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pappas tries to clinch there but Graham circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Billy Graham will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Pappas tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Graham was well out of range. Poor timing from Pappas.
Graham takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Graham ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Graham avoids the body shot from Pappas.
Pappas misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pappas throws a jab but it's blocked by Graham.

Pappas looks to score with a jab to the body but Graham is just out of range.
Graham shoots in looking for a takedown. Pappas tries to sprawl out of it but Graham keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pappas manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Pappas throws a low kick, looking for Graham's leg but Graham calmly moves out of range.

Pappas clinches up with Graham and pushes him back against the cage.
Graham has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Pappas is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Graham goes for a takedown attempt but Pappas pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Gus Pappas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Billy Graham.
Graham dives in and grabs Pappas's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pappas pushes down on Graham's head and hops out.

Graham takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Graham misses with the combination.
Pappas misses with a looping left.

Graham ducks under a wild hook from Pappas.
Graham avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Graham clobbers Pappas with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Graham takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Pappas throws a right and a left that both miss.
Gus Pappas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Pappas throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Graham counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Pappas wants to sweep here but Graham controlling him for the moment.

Pappas is really struggling to control Graham but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Horrible takedown by Graham or perhaps it was just good defense by Pappas which made him look bad.
Graham uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Pappas.

and Graham counters with a nice double leg into side control. Pappas won't be happy with that.
Graham lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Pappas down.
Pappas can't do much from the bottom here.

Graham wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Pappas, who protects the arm well.

Pappas parries the strikes from Graham easily there. Graham is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Pappas to escape.
Pappas is trying to control Graham's posture but Graham avoids it.

Graham is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pappas knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Graham tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pappas sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Graham somewhat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Billy Graham will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Graham feints and as Pappas raises his hands in defense, Graham changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The ground and pound from Graham seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
You can see the frustration on Pappas's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Pappas has his foot on Graham's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Graham works his way back into a safe position though.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Pappas is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Pappas seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Graham is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pappas's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pappas's back!

I've got Graham winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
