Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Irineu Orfeu (ranked 2987 p4p, 2560 weight class) and Hudson Clarkson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hudson Clarkson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut lands for Clarkson. That snapped Orfeu's head back.
Clarkson closes the distance and clinches up with Orfeu, looking for a takedown. Clarkson pushes Orfeu against the cage but Orfeu circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Orfeu enables Clarkson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Orfeu manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

We've been hearing good reports from Orfeu's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

The referee asks Clarkson politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Clarkson prefers to stall for the moment though.

We've been informed that Clarkson has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Clarkson has hold of Orfeu's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Orfeu manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Orfeu is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Clarkson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Orfeu looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Orfeu looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Orfeu!

Orfeu got a little sloppy there for a moment and Clarkson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Orfeu has managed to get both his arms back between Clarkson's legs - danger averted.

Orfeu is sitting in close to Clarkson's body. Clarkson has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Orfeu is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Orfeu is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Clarkson.
