Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ham Burger (ranked 1379 p4p, 895 weight class) and Zabit Magomedov (ranked 183 p4p, 118 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ham Burger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 18 - 1, fighting out of London, Zabit Magomedov!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magomedov looks to land a right hand but Burger moved out of range.
Magomedov has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Burger stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Magomedov.
Magomedov swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Burger shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Magomedov scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Magomedov throws a lazy head kick
and Burger counters with a right hand to the body.
Burger throws a body punch but Magomedov moves out of range.
Burger rushes Magomedov and presses him up against the cage.

I was talking to Burger's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Magomedov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Oh Burger is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Burger is breathing heavily.
Magomedov throws out a loose jab but Burger uses good head movement to avoid it.
Burger seems to have got his legs back now.

Burger closes the distance and clinches up with Magomedov, looking for a takedown. Burger pushes Magomedov against the cage but Magomedov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Magomedov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Magomedov dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Burger. That did some damage!

and Magomedov counters with a right hand to the body.
A head kick by Magomedov - that's a beauty! Burger is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Magomedov can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Zabit Magomedov!
An out of breath Zabit Magomedov thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
