The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee has a takedown stuffed.

Lee dives in for a single leg takedown but O Malley sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
O Malley drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lee pulls his leg out and moves away.
O Malley feints and then cracks Lee's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lee down.
Horrible takedown attempt by O Malley or perhaps it was just good defense by Lee, which made it look bad.

Jae Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

O Malley has knee on belly and moves into mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lee wants to hold on but O Malley pushes him away.
Lee is in a horrible position here. O Malley smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

O Malley is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Lee can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Sean O Malley has got the better of the ground game so far.

O Malley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lee. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
