Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stephen Barton (ranked 5802 p4p, 25307 weight class) and Thadd Baddey (ranked 543 p4p, 573 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Stephen Barton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thadd Baddey!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barton shoots in for a takedown but Baddey shows good takedown defense.
Barton shoots in but Baddey avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Baddey is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Barton throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Baddey's waist but Baddey gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Barton off to one side.

Barton closes the distance and clinches up with Baddey, looking for a takedown. Barton pushes Baddey against the cage but Baddey circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Barton drives through with a takedown into Baddey's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Barton shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Baddey but Baddey pushes him off and we're back to square one.

That was a close round but I would say that Stephen Barton will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Barton shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Baddey sprawls well. Baddey wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Barton gets slowly back to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Horrible takedown attempt by Barton or perhaps it was just good defense by Baddey, which made it look bad.
