Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Kane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 38 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jake Peterson!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Paul Tew and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kane appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Jake Peterson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kane sizes up Peterson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

It looks like Jake Peterson has been cut.
Peterson closes the distance and clinches up with Kane, looking for a takedown. Peterson pushes Kane against the cage but Kane circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kane throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Peterson feints the counter takedown.
Peterson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kane tries to counter with a takedown but Peterson is quick to defend against it.
Peterson misses with a double jab
and Kane counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Peterson gets tackled into the cage by Kane. Kane maintains the clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Kane.
Peterson takes a shot to the head.
Kane gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Peterson.
Chris Kane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Peterson.
Peterson tries to score a body lock takedown but Kane shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Peterson looks winded!

Kane drops Peterson onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Peterson is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Peterson is rocked!

That has opened up Jake Peterson's cut even more.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kane lands with a left to the head.
Peterson is still on wobbly legs! Can Kane finish him?
Peterson goes for a takedown attempt but Kane pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Peterson throws a sloppy head kick

and Kane goes for a counter takedown and lands it with interest - it's knocked his opponent senseless! It looks like Kane 's shoulder did the damage as the two fighters hit the mat.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Slam). Chris Kane!
After the fight, Chris Kane was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
