Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Phillip Mayo (ranked 5386 p4p, 25476 weight class) and King Lucifer (ranked 480 p4p, 515 weight class). King Lucifer looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Phillip Mayo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, King Lucifer!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lucifer swivels and escapes.
Mayo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lucifer sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Lucifer should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Mayo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Mayo is looking to control Lucifer's arms but Lucifer gets an underhook and turns him. Now Mayo has his back to the cage.
Mayo tightens his grip and picks Lucifer up, before dumping him to the ground. Lucifer manages to land in guard.

Mayo's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Lucifer looking for a guillotine here but Mayo defends easily.
Lucifer has his foot on Mayo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mayo works his way back into a safe position though.
Mayo gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Mayo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lucifer as he avoids it easily.

Lucifer gets a clinch.
Lucifer goes for a takedown in the clinch but Mayo prevents it.

and Lucifer counters with a takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mayo takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Mayo sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Mayo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Lucifer is working for a submission of some sort.
Mayo looking for submissions off his back.
Mayo is trying to maintain the position but Lucifer is very close to passing his half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mayo is looking to improve his position.
Mayo is looking to control Lucifer's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mayo avoid being mounted?
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but King Lucifer will probably get the nod.
That's time! Mayo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Mayo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lucifer tries to avoid it but Mayo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lucifer to the ground. Lucifer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Lucifer manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Mayo on his heels. He'll look to pass Mayo's guard now, I'm sure.
Mayo controls Lucifer momentarily but Lucifer frees himself.

Lucifer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mayo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lucifer stands up over Mayo, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Lucifer keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Mayo's head.

Lucifer drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Mayo dives on top into guard.
King Lucifer has got the better of the ground game so far.
Lucifer is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mayo is aware though and is defending well.
Mayo is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Mayo is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Lucifer is looking for a triangle here but Mayo uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Lucifer is breathing heavily.
Lucifer tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Lucifer is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Mayo is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Lucifer bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Mayo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lucifer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Mayo rushes Lucifer and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Mayo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mayo misses with a series of wild punches.
Lucifer drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Mayo defends it well.
Mayo shoots in looking for a takedown but Lucifer manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mayo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Mayo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Lucifer is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Lucifer takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Lucifer is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mayo has escaped the position, nice work there.
Mayo tries to buck Lucifer off but Lucifer is having none of it.
Lucifer has hold of Mayo's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Mayo seems comfortable defending it but Lucifer has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Mayo is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Mayo is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Lucifer couldn't care less - he's delighted!
