Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Loki Kvakkestad (ranked 1770 p4p, 2028 weight class) and Michael Fraiberg (ranked 234 p4p, 257 weight class). Kvakkestad comes to the cage accompanied by TÆL - Sprengstoff. Fraiberg has chosen It’s A Shameful Thing, Lobster Head (Too Many Limes) as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Loki Kvakkestad! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Michael Fraiberg! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Ren Mimura and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Fraiberg looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kvakkestad fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Fraiberg checks it well. Kvakkestad feints and as Fraiberg raises his hands in defense, Kvakkestad changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kvakkestad postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Kvakkestad won't allow Fraiberg to get back to his feet. Fraiberg is looking to stand back up but Kvakkestad counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Fraiberg. Kvakkestad lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Kvakkestad working the head and body with strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kvakkestad landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Fraiberg has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at IMMA Gym of Elite ASS. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Kvakkestad trying to control the action but Fraiberg is working from the bottom. Fraiberg is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Well, if Kvakkestad is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Kvakkestad looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Fraiberg with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Fraiberg is looking to escape. Kvakkestad lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Fraiberg is rocked! Fraiberg is not content to let Kvakkestad control the position. Kvakkestad is really struggling to control Fraiberg but he's trying to hold on to the position. Kvakkestad has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Fraiberg kicks Kvakkestad off and gets back to his feet. A big left from Kvakkestad misses.

Fraiberg replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Kvakkestad blocks it well. Fraiberg connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Kvakkestad momentarily.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Kvakkestad creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Fraiberg throws a punch but it's blocked by Kvakkestad. Fraiberg works on Kvakkestad's body with a couple of short punches. Fraiberg avoids a wild elbow strike from Kvakkestad. Kvakkestad makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Fraiberg blocks a low kick nicely. Kvakkestad rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fraiberg moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Fraiberg flicks out a counter leg kick but Kvakkestad steps away. Kvakkestad throws a looping overhand right but Fraiberg ducks down to avoid it. Fraiberg slaps away a takedown attempt from Kvakkestad, before circling back to the center of the mat. Fraiberg looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Kvakkestad lands an overhand right. Kvakkestad scores with a crisp jab that stopped Fraiberg in his tracks. Kvakkestad shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Fraiberg defends it nicely. Fraiberg follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Loki Kvakkestad. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Fraiberg moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Fraiberg drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Fraiberg lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Kvakkestad tries to land a front kick but Fraiberg steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Fraiberg walks into a left hand. A low kick from Kvakkestad is predictable there and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Fraiberg.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kvakkestad throws a wild body kick that Fraiberg sees coming a mile off. Kvakkestad lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Kvakkestad lands a jab to the head.

and Fraiberg makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Kvakkestad scores with a jab to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kvakkestad ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fraiberg moves away. Kvakkestad lands a slapping body shot.

Kvakkestad scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Loki Kvakkestad overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Fraiberg is looking to escape. Kvakkestad working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Fraiberg pushes Kvakkestad off looking to stand but Kvakkestad dives back in and keeps control.

Loki Kvakkestad dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Kvakkestad shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kvakkestad was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Fraiberg bucks up and tries to throw Kvakkestad off but instead Kvakkestad has got his back! Michael Fraiberg has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Fraiberg is covering up but some of the strikes from Kvakkestad are getting through and doing damage.
