Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Barry Craig (ranked 2945 p4p, 4192 weight class) and Rodrigo Mckinney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Barry Craig! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rodrigo Mckinney! The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Atkins and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Craig gets a double leg takedown into Mckinney's guard. Craig controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Craig with a flurry of punches that miss. Mckinney is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Mckinney looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Craig puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Well, if Craig is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Craig is pressing down on Mckinney's thigh, looking to free his foot. Mckinney is holding on for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mckinney is looking for a sweep. Craig is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Mckinney is trying to stand back up but Craig is controlling him

That's one minute gone in the round. Mckinney tries to get to full guard but Craig has control of the leg. Mckinney tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Craig has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Craig throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Craig takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Craig prevents Mckinney from getting the reversal. Craig sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Mckinney working to try and regain half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Craig could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Mckinney tries to lock up and control but Craig gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Craig throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Mckinney keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Mckinney is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Craig avoids the attempt from Mckinney to control. Craig looking to control and managing it successfully. Mckinney wants to control but Craig is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Craig misses with a head shot. Craig controlling from the full mount. Mckinney is working to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Craig avoids the attempt from Mckinney to control. Craig controlling the position easily from mount. Craig throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Mckinney because Craig loaded up on that one. Craig misses with a head shot. Mckinney blocking the ground and pound. Mckinney is looking to get to half guard. Mckinney is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Craig throwing strikes here but Mckinney is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Craig thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Mckinney is trying desperately to improve position. Mckinney tries to hold on but Craig pushes him away. Mckinney is looking to improve his position but Craig isn't that keen on the idea. Craig controlling the position easily from mount. Poor strikes thrown by Craig there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Craig has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Craig content just to control the position here. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mckinney can do anything to dispel that myth. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mckinney holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Craig tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Barry Craig dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Mckinney takes the fight into the clinch. Mckinney unloads a knee to the mid-section. Craig lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Craig is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Mckinney is defending well. Craig goes for a takedown attempt but Mckinney pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Horrible takedown attempt by Craig or perhaps it was just good defense by Mckinney, which made it look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Barry Craig. That's going to take a lot out of him. Craig walks into a straight right hand from Mckinney.
It looks like Barry Craig has been cut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Craig closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Mckinney did well to prevent Craig getting side control. Craig looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Mckinney wants to get back to his feet.

You can see the frustration on Mckinney's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Mckinney is looking to regain half guard here but Craig keeps moving and retains side control. Craig remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Mckinney is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Mckinney trying to remain calm as Craig controls from the top position. Craig is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mckinney can do to turn this around?
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Mckinney is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Mckinney keeps trying to improve his position. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Mckinney wants to control but Craig postures up. Mckinney is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Craig is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Mckinney is trying desperately to improve position. Mckinney squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Craig decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Craig thows a huge punch but Mckinney dodges it nicely.

Mckinney is looking to get back to full guard here but Craig has managed to pass to side control instead. Mckinney can't do much from the bottom here. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Craig here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Mckinney tries to control but Craig manages to take his back. Craig has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Mckinney's body.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Craig controlling the positon. Mckinney tries to escape but Craig has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Craig thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Barry Craig is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! What can Mckinney do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

And that's the end of the fight! Barry Craig showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Craig, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
