Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Martin Vice (ranked 3859 p4p, 3748 weight class) and Derek Rodney (ranked 419 p4p, 409 weight class). Vice comes to the cage accompanied by Mojo. Derek Rodney is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Sandra Marshall and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodney throws a left and a right that both miss
so Vice counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Vice tries to free his leg and advance position but Rodney is retaining full guard.
Vice is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Vice throws a big right hand that misses.
Rodney looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Vice throwing strikes from guard but Rodney blocks nicely.
Vice drops back looking for a leg! Rodney is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rodney manages to kick Vice off! Vice jumps back into Rodney's guard.
Vice will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vice thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Rodney utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Vice drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Vice jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Vice drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Vice as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Rodney screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Vice! Nice submission victory there!
