The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nazir walks into a left hand.

It looks like Rick Nazir has been cut.
Lukic misses with a hook. Nazir ducked under it nicely.
Lukic swats away the attempt to clinch by Nazir.
Nazir takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Lukic jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
No luck for Nazir with that takedown attempt.
Nazir on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lukic throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Nazir on the side of the head.
Lukic misses with a hook. Nazir ducked under it nicely.
Nazir doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Lukic counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Nazir looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lukic is fending him off so far but Nazir persists. Nope, Lukic circles away and we're back to standing.

Lukic throws a series of punches but Nazir avoids them all with ease.

Lukic fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Nazir looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
A lazy left from Lukic finds it's target.
Nazir takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Lukic jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Rick Nazir's cut is getting worse.
Nazir is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lukic sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Nazir takes a swing at Lukic's ribcage but misses.
Lukic lands a head shot.

Lukic connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Nazir.
A little jabbing left from Lukic on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Lukic is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nazir.
Nazir seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Lukic has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Nazir ducks under a wild hook from Lukic.

Nazir shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Lukic counters with a nice uppercut.

Rick Nazir's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Lukic lands with an uppercut that bounces Nazir off the cage and back into range.
Lukic scores with a jab to the body.
Lukic jabs Nazir to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Lukic is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Nazir had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Lukic punishes Nazir's body with a nice straight punch.
Lukic is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nazir.
Nazir feinted with a counter takedown.
Nazir has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lukic finds it's way round the side to connect with Nazir's head.
Lukic is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Jeez, Rick Nazir's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Nazir needs to keep his hands up - Lukic had a free shot at his head there.
Nazir takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Nazir slips a straight right by Lukic.

Lukic lands a left and a right that send Nazir crashing to the mat, dazed. Lukic thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Nazir is rocked!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Lukic cracks Nazir with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Nazir falls to his knees and Lukic doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
