Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yawa Kiang (ranked 23995 p4p, 23933 weight class) and Way Nada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 36 - 67 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yawa Kiang! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 51 - 52 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Way Nada! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Kiang fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Nada is trying to counter with his kicks. Nada fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kiang sprawls well initially but Nada persists and gets the takedown into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nada not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Kiang is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kiang is trying to control but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nada is figuring out what he wants to do next. Nada is thwarting Kiang's attempts to control the position. Nada passes to full mount! Nada controlling his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kiang tries to hold on but Nada pushes him away. Nada takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Kiang tries to hold on but Nada postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nada controlling the position easily from mount. Nada's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kiang tries to hold on but Nada postures up. Kiang is trying to escape the mount.
Nada controlling from mount. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Way Nada dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Nada shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Nada showed some decent athleticism there. Nada not doing much here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kiang is looking to control Nada's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kiang avoid being mounted?
That's one minute gone in the round. Nada takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Let's hope that Nada has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Nada closes the distance and clinches up with Kiang, looking for a takedown. Nada pushes Kiang against the cage but Kiang circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Kiang throws a counter high kick but Nada was just alert enough to avoid it. Nada fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kiang to the ground. Nada is now in Kiang's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kiang holds on and takes a little breather. Nada has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kiang continues to stall. Kiang has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Nada controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kiang working a defensive guard here.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Way Nada showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Kiang's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round! Horrible takedown attempt by Nada or perhaps it was just good defense by Kiang, which made it look bad. It appears Kiang was looking to counter with a kick there. Nada shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kiang as he jumps to the side. And Kiang counters with a quick kick to the body but Nada blocks it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nada dives in and grabs Kiang's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kiang pushes down on Nada's head and hops out. Yawa Kiang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Way Nada. Kiang slaps away a takedown attempt from Nada, before circling back to the center of the mat. Kiang attempts a counter takedown but Nada avoids it well and moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kiang throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Nada fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Kiang quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Nada shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kiang defends it nicely. Kiang is looking to counter with a body kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kiang shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Nada napping and manages to drive through into side control!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nada is trying to control Kiang's posture but Kiang avoids it. Kiang is looking to take a break and control but Nada is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kiang controlling from side mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kiang's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Yawa Kiang has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Way Nada is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kiang scores with punches from side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. A lull in the action here as Kiang stalls from top position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Yawa Kiang showed his dominance in that final round. I think Nada has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
