The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hopkins uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Drago.
A jab from Hopkins finds it's way through Drago's defenses.
It looks like Ivan Drago has been cut.
Hopkins lands a left and a right that send Drago crashing to the mat, dazed. Hopkins thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
James Hopkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Drago with a jab.
Drago changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hopkins thuds his right hand into Drago's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Hopkins is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Drago.
Drago misses with a hook to the body
and Hopkins counters with a left right combination that sends Drago crashing to the mat - Hopkins wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Drago out for a TKO! Devastating finish!
