Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Scott Marshall (ranked 3621 p4p, 25093 weight class) and Knock Out (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knock Out is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Scott Marshall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Knock Out!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marshall has his takedown stuffed

and Out counters with a shoot takedown. Marshall fights it but they end up in guard.

Marshall pushes Out off and scrambles back to his feet.
Out dives in for a single leg takedown but Marshall sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Marshall smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Marshall tries to score a power double leg takedown but Out sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Marshall somewhat.
Out is looking for the big counter here.
The fighters circling - Marshall throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Marshall tries for a takedown but Out circles away easily
and Marshall takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Out now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Out throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Marshall's waist but Marshall gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Out off to one side.

Marshall shoots in for a double leg but Out sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Marshall sets himself, and Out steps forward looking for the clinch! Marshall avoids it this time.
Marshall shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Out but Out pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Marshall is breathing heavily.

Out closes the distance and clinches up with Marshall, looking for a takedown. Out pushes Marshall against the cage but Marshall circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Out lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Marshall scores with a one two! Out had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

and Out counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Marshall looks for a takedown but Out sprawls well.

Out wants to get back to striking at distance but Marshall won't allow it.

Marshall tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Out was well out of range. Poor timing from Marshall.
Marshall shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
letting Out counter with a right hand.

Out has taken the fight to the clinch.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Marshall is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Out is defending well for now.

Out prevents the takedown attempt.
Marshall tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Out avoids it.
Marshall's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Out lands a good knee to the midsection. Marshall won't want to take too many of those.

Out drops down looking for an ankle pick but Marshall pulls his leg out and moves away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Marshall looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Out shoots in but no luck this time.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Out fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Marshall avoids it really well and circles away.

Marshall got a little sloppy there for a moment and Out has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Marshall has managed to get both his arms back between Out's legs - danger averted.

Out is pulling down on Marshall's head to control his posture.
Out controls Marshall momentarily but Marshall frees himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marshall looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Marshall drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Out dives on top into guard.

Marshall is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Out throws a big elbow that misses.
Marshall looking to hit a scissor sweep but Out is one step ahead there.
Out wants to control from the top but Marshall keeps moving.

Out stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Marshall swivels though and keeps the full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Out dodges the punch combination from Marshall.
Out shoots in and drives through. Marshall sprawls well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Marshall fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Knock Out showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Marshall's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Marshall shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Marshall was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Out is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Marshall off and has taken his back!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Out is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Marshall knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Marshall for a finish.

Out biding his time, looking for the opening.
Out is not going to allow Marshall to sit and survive in this position.
Out trying to control.
Marshall trying to control but not successfully.
Out lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Marshall hold on?!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Will Out go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Marshall is trying to stand back up.

Marshall defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard.
Marshall won't allow Out to sweep him here.
Marshall is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Marshall is looking to take a break and control but Out is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Marshall stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Out to get to his feet.
Marshall shoots in looking for a takedown. Out tries to sprawl out of it but Marshall keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Out manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Out with the counter takedown but Marshall avoids it easily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Out is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Marshall with a body shot.

Out has Marshall up against the cage in a clinch.
Knock Out is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Marshall changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Out fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Knock Out comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Out winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
