Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Higanti Libat (ranked 23475 p4p, 23701 weight class) and Wala Sapi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Wala Sapi was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 42 - 63 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Higanti Libat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 53 - 49 - 9, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wala Sapi! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Libat shoots in for a takedown but Sapi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Sapi shapes to counter with a head kick. Libat closes the distance and clinches up with Sapi, looking for a takedown. Libat pushes Sapi against the cage but Sapi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Libat is defended easily by Sapi. Sapi is trying to counter with his kicks. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Higanti Libat. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sapi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Libat swivels and escapes. Libat is looking to counter with a body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Libat shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Sapi looking for a sweep. Not yet Sapi, not yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Libat is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Libat distracts Sapi with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Sapi is looking to sweep but instead, Libat has passed into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sapi is trying to control but can't.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Libat shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. As Libat backs off Sapi throws a huge counter combo but Libat manages to avoid it all.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sapi leaves Libat with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Sapi is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Sapi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Libat counters with a good, hard body kick but Sapi shrugs it off. Sapi shoots in but Libat avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sapi is defended easily by Libat. Libat looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Libat gets caught napping as Sapi dives in and scores a takedown. Libat manages to retain guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Higanti Libat dominated that round. That's time! Libat's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Libat tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sapi swivels and escapes. Sapi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Libat is fending him off so far but Sapi persists. Nope, Libat circles away and we're back to standing. Sapi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Libat throws a quick counter kick to the body but Sapi avoids it. Libat misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Libat leaves Sapi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Libat thinks about countering with a body kick. Higanti Libat has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wala Sapi.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sapi goes for a double leg but Libat avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Libat continues to drive forward. Sapi slaps away a takedown attempt from Libat, before circling back to the center of the mat. Sapi is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Libat with a body shot. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Libat closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Sapi's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Libat working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Libat is looking to work some ground and pound but Sapi has wrist control. Sapi has Libat pulled in close to control his posture. Sapi being controlled here, momentarily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Sapi holds on and takes a little breather. Libat looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Libat misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. No luck for Sapi with that takedown attempt. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Higanti Libat dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Sapi. Libat is trying to improve his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Libat being controlled for a moment. Sapi's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Higanti Libat overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Libat tries to strike but it doesn't land. Sapi remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Libat tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. A lull in the action here.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Sapi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sapi wants it to stay on the feet. Sapi follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Sapi scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Libat isn't going anywhere.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Libat can't do much from the bottom here. A lull in the action here as Sapi stalls from top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Libat is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Sapi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Libat keeps working. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Wala Sapi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Higanti Libat is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! You can see the frustration on Libat's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
And that's the end of the fight! Wala Sapi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Libat has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
