Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kalosar Drogo (ranked 3964 p4p, 3962 weight class) and Melvin Van Manhoef (ranked 147 p4p, 146 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kalosar Drogo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Melvin Van Manhoef!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Manhoef shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Drogo sprawls well. Drogo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Van Manhoef gets slowly back to his feet.
Drogo seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
An inside leg kick lands from Drogo.
Drogo lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Van Manhoef is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Drogo's half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Drogo tries to get to full guard but Van Manhoef has control of the leg.
Van Manhoef wants to stand up but Drogo manages to regain full guard.

Van Manhoef wants to control from the top but Drogo keeps moving.

Drogo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Van Manhoef defends well.
Van Manhoef is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Drogo doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Van Manhoef controls from within his opponent's guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Drogo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Drogo shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Drogo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Van Manhoef keeps working.
Van Manhoef is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Van Manhoef is not content to let Drogo control the position.
Drogo passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Van Manhoef!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Van Manhoef is trying desperately to improve position.

Drogo has hold of Van Manhoef's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Van Manhoef manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Drogo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Drogo avoids the attempt from Van Manhoef to control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Drogo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Van Manhoef moves away.
Van Manhoef is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Van Manhoef shoots in for a takedown but Drogo shows good takedown defense.

Drogo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Drogo passes Van Manhoef's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Drogo wants to work for an arm triangle but Van Manhoef is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Van Manhoef is looking to control Drogo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Van Manhoef avoid being mounted?

Drogo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Drogo wants to get back to his feet.
Van Manhoef throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Drogo tries to score a body lock takedown but Van Manhoef shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Drogo goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Van Manhoef is looking to take this one to the mat.

Kalosar Drogo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Melvin Van Manhoef.

Drogo manages to break the clinch.

Drogo closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Van Manhoef's guard.

Drogo is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Drogo tries to stand but can't do so whilst Van Manhoef controls his leg.
Drogo throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Van Manhoef tries to kick Drogo off but Drogo keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Van Manhoef is looking for a sweep. Drogo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Van Manhoef wants to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Van Manhoef is refusing to be controlled, as Drogo sits in half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Van Manhoef shoots in and bounces Drogo off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Drogo is looking to stand up but Van Manhoef isn't so interested in that idea.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Drogo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Van Manhoef doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Drogo.

Kalosar Drogo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Van Manhoef manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Drogo keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Drogo is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Van Manhoef can do to turn this around?

Drogo moves out of range as Van Manhoef throws a body kick.

Van Manhoef throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Drogo tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Van Manhoef is in Drogo's guard.

I would just about give that final round to Melvin Van Manhoef.
