13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Bob Sagat! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve McQueen! The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Ackerman and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Sagat looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Sagat throws a right hand that McQueen ducks under and follows up with a left that McQueen also avoids with ease. Bob Sagat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sagat misses with a series of wild punches.
McQueen lands a body shot.
A jab from McQueen finds it's way through Sagat's defenses. McQueen moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Sagat throws an uppercut from half a mile away. McQueen sees it coming and avoids it easily. No joy there for McQueen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

McQueen throws a combination that misses and Sagat counters with a two punch combo. McQueen scores to the head and body with a nice combination! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sagat throws an uppercut from half a mile away. McQueen sees it coming and avoids it easily. Sagat misses with the combination.

Sagat wants to clinch and McQueen counters with a low kick, right behind Sagat 's knee. McQueen scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Sagat is breathing heavily. Sagat throws a shot from downtown. McQueen moves away and avoids it. McQueen swings and misses with a hook to the body.

A shot to the body from Sagat misses and McQueen counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. McQueen has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from McQueen there as he acknowledges the shot. McQueen lands a slapping body shot.
McQueen goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Sagat has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. A cross from McQueen lands. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sagat takes a body punch but keeps moving. Good standup being displayed there by McQueen as he connects with a hook. McQueen connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Sagat momentarily.

Sagat is rocked! McQueen lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Sagat sprawling to the canvas. McQueen follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Sagat hang on? Oh Sagat is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! McQueen controlling the action here. The fighters are battling for position here. Sagat manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Sagat seems to have got his legs back now. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sagat being controlled here, momentarily. Sagat looking to sweep here. No luck so far. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McQueen uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Sagat clinches but McQueen breaks the clinch and McQueen counters with a two punch combo. Sagat tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McQueen paws at him with a jab and circles away. Sagat throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McQueen. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sagat tries to clinch there but McQueen circles away.

and McQueen makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. McQueen throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sagat on the side of the head. McQueen misses with a two punch combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sagat takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sagat throws out a loose jab but McQueen uses good head movement to avoid it. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by McQueen.

McQueen fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Sagat looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. McQueen fails in his attempt to clinch. McQueen throws a right hand that Sagat ducks under and follows up with a left that Sagat also avoids with ease. McQueen bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Sagat's head. McQueen staying out of range there. McQueen looks to score with a jab to the body but Sagat is just out of range. The fighters circling - Sagat throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A shot to de liver by McQueen. Beautiful body shot. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Sagat!
Nice straight punches there by McQueen. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of McQueen. McQueen connects with a good right hand that stumbles Sagat. Sagat circles away out of range and recomposes himself. McQueen smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Sagat takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. McQueen lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
McQueen bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Sagat throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and McQueen counters with a lovely straight right hand! McQueen's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and McQueen duly obliges. Sagat wants to clinch but McQueen slips to the side and McQueen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McQueen drops Sagat with a left right combo! McQueen follows him down to the ground into side control.
McQueen advances to mount. McQueen takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! McQueen prevents Sagat from getting the reversal. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
