Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Colby Canvana (ranked 3833 p4p, 4124 weight class) and Piru Grey Jr (ranked 398 p4p, 388 weight class). Piru Grey Jr will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Russell Pearce and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grey Jr defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Canvana.
Canvana gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Grey Jr counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Grey Jr throws a body kick that misses.
Canvana lands with a shot to the body.
Canvana fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Grey Jr, pushing him back against the cage.

Grey Jr wants to take the fight to the mat but Canvana manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Grey Jr tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Canvana won't let Grey Jr get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Canvana tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Grey Jr. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Canvana looking for a guillotine from mount but Grey Jr is having none of it.
Canvana looking to control but Grey Jr is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

You get the feeling that Grey Jr really doesn't like being in this position too much.

That was a close second round but I would say that Colby Canvana will probably get the nod.

Grey Jr wants to stand and escape. He's got his foot on Canvana's hips, looking to push off. But Canvana grabs a hold of the leg and drops back for an ankle lock! It's hard to tell if he's got it. Both fighters look composed - OH, not anymore they don't! Grey Jr screams like a kid who's trapped his fingers in the car door and taps out! Yikes, that must have hurt - hopefully it's not snapped anything!
