Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 15 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ville Valo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tauski Mountain!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Patrick Alders and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Valo falls off balance throwing a combination
and Mountain counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Mountain bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Valo tries to bum rush Mountain with a series of wild strikes but Mountain uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Mountain throws out a counter right but Valo avoids it with no problem.
A head kick by Valo misses
and Mountain counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Valo is breathing heavily.
Valo throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Mountain counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Ville Valo has been cut.
Valo misses with the combination.
Mountain swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Valo misses with a head kick.
A big right from Mountain misses.
Valo tries to land a body kick
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Mountain throws a leg kick which misses Valo's front leg but catches the back leg as Valo tries to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
No joy there for Mountain, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Valo looks to land a combination but Mountain avoids it well.
Mountain doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Mountain waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Valo.
Mountain connects with a jab.
Mountain misses with a straight left.
Valo throws a head kick but Mountain moves out of range.
Valo ducks under a wild hook from Mountain.
Valo throws a leg kick that is checked
and Mountain counters with a nice right hand that sends Valo toppling to the canvas! Valo scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Mountain finish him?!
Valo is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mountain connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Valo covering up! Mountain comes in with a big uppercut and Valo goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Tauski Mountain!
After the big win, Tauski Mountain made sure to do all the important stuff like thanking his sponsors NARCOS and telling the interviewer how much he loves him.
