Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Albert Rinderknecht!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mickey Valentino!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valentino throws an overhand right that lands on Rinderknecht's shoulder, as Rinderknecht tries to avoid the shot.
Nice uppercut lands for Valentino. That snapped Rinderknecht's head back.
Valentino fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rinderknecht manages to avoid it.

Rinderknecht has taken the fight to the clinch.
Valentino has had enough of the clinch but Rinderknecht keeps him there for the moment.
Valentino working aggressively here.

Rinderknecht breaks from the clinch.
Valentino lands a slapping body shot.
Valentino throws a hook but Rinderknecht blocks it.
Rinderknecht attempts a counter takedown but Valentino avoids it well and moves away.
Valentino slips a jab from Rinderknecht.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rinderknecht dives in and scores a takedown into Valentino's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Valentino can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rinderknecht controls the pace.
Valentino really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rinderknecht. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rinderknecht pushes down on Valentino's leg and manages to get into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Valentino on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Rinderknecht is taking a breather. Valentino says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Valentino wants to control but Rinderknecht is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Rinderknecht is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Valentino defends it well.
Valentino wants to get back to full guard.

Valentino actively working from the bottom here.
Rinderknecht not doing much here.

Rinderknecht is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Valentino!
Rinderknecht takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Valentino wants to control but Rinderknecht is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Valentino tries to improve his position but instead Rinderknecht has taken his back!
Rinderknecht biding his time, looking for the opening.

Rinderknecht sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Valentino taps out!
