Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Miet Cleever (ranked 109 p4p, 234 weight class) and Vinicius Tonioli (ranked 16 p4p, 36 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Miet Cleever!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vinicius Tonioli!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cleever scores with a jab. Tonioli acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
It looks like Vinicius Tonioli has been cut.
A head kick misses from Cleever.
It seemed like Tonioli was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Cleever tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A nice side step and Tonioli releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Tonioli looks to land a left hand but Cleever moved out of range nicely.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd cheers as Cleever lands an impressive looking overhand right. Tonioli doesn't seem phased though.

We've been informed that Tonioli has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

A jab from Cleever finds it's way through Tonioli's defenses.
Tonioli avoids a kick to the body.
A little jabbing left from Tonioli on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Tonioli looks to land a right hand but Cleever moved out of range.
We've been told by Cleever's head coaches at Hare of the Dog Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Tonioli gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Cleever works over Tonioli's head and body with a nice combination.
That has opened up Vinicius Tonioli's cut even more.

Cleever rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tonioli moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Tonioli tries to counter with a clinch but Cleever shakes him off and moves away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Tonioli.
With the fighters up against the cage, Cleever throws an elbow but misses.
Cleever lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
The cut above Vinicius Tonioli's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Cleever breaks from the clinch.
Cleever moves into range and connects with a jab.
Cleever sends Tonioli crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Cleever is motioning to the referee to let Tonioli up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Vinicius Tonioli's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cleever drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Tonioli right on the button. Tonioli goes down! Cleever follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Cleever gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Miet Cleever!
After winning the bout, Miet Cleever thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
