Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chris Kogias (ranked 3832 p4p, 25345 weight class) and Cody Beair (ranked 349 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Kogias!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Cody Beair!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Ackerman and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kogias fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Beair avoids it really well and circles away.

Beair gets tackled into the cage by Kogias. Kogias maintains the clinch.

Beair pulls guard effortlessly.
Kogias pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Beair is keeping the position for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kogias throws a big right hand that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Beair shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kogias manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Beair closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Beair lands in his opponent's guard.

Beair is fighting to break Kogias's control of his arms but Kogias is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Kogias shoots in looking for a takedown. Beair tries to sprawl out of it but Kogias keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Beair manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That was a close round but I would say that Chris Kogias will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Beair tries a head kick but it misses.
Beair swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kogias wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Kogias dives in and grabs Beair's left leg, looking for a takedown. Beair pushes down on Kogias's head and hops out.
Kogias misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kogias looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Beair bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Beair has his foot on Kogias's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kogias works his way back into a safe position though.

Cody Beair showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Kogias is trying hard to land a takedown here. Beair sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Beair throws a right and a left that Kogias avoids nicely.
Beair misses with a two punch combination.

Beair closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Come on Beair - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Still in the clinch, Kogias scores with a nice short uppercut.
The referee calls for Beair to work.

Beair's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Kogias moves into the clinch.

Beair lands a takedown into guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Kogias manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Kogias is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Beair gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Beair breaks the clinch.

Beair tries to keep at a distance but Kogias has taken the fight into the clinch.

Beair has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Kogias clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Kogias is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Beair off. It looks like it's working - Beair slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Kogias displaying calm under pressure there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Beair is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Kogias darts in looking for a takedown but Beair gets double underhooks and turns Kogias into the cage.

Beair has picked Kogias up - he's going for a ride! Beair dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Kogias wants to stand back up but Beair manages to pass into side control.

Kogias tries to buck Beair off but Beair is having none of it.
Beair has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Kogias!

Beair jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Kogias manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Kogias is looking for a sweep.
Kogias is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Beair has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Kogias takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Kogias looking for a sweep but Beair has passed into full mount! Oh no!

Beair wants to finish this one by submission but Kogias is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Beair.
Kogias slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Kogias looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Beair landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Beair tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kogias knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Kogias trying to control but Beair postures up.

I would just about give that final round to Cody Beair.
I think Beair has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
