Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jake Askren (ranked 2897 p4p, 3699 weight class) and Kyle Bush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 19 - 28 - 1, fighting out of London, Jake Askren! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Kyle Bush! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bush gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Askren to score an easy takedown into full guard. Bush is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Askren is controlling him. Bush looking for a guillotine here but Askren defends easily.
Bush wants to sweep but no luck. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Askren looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Bush tries to strike from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Askren wants to control from the top but Bush keeps moving. Bush throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Bush is looking to stand up but Askren isn't so interested in that idea.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bush darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Askren is defending against the submission attempts here by Bush.
Bush is looking to stall here but Askren recovers full guard.

Bush trying to control the position from guard on top but Askren is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bush might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Askren haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Bush must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Bush wants to stand but Askren has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Bush postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Askren utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Bush shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Askren keeping moving, preventing Bush from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bush controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. It looks like Bush might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Askren shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Askren is breathing heavily. Bush gets full guard. Our spies down at at Cozad MMA London inform us that Bush has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Askren won't allow Bush to sweep him here. Bush pulls Askren in close to prevent any damage. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kyle Bush dominated that round. That's time! Askren's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Askren shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Bush tries to kick Askren off in order to stand up. Askren Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Askren has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Nice takedown defense from Askren. No joy for Bush on that attempt. Bush closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bush lands in his opponent's guard. Askren is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Askren keeping moving, preventing Bush from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bush cracks Askren with a solid left hand. Bush is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bush controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Bush's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Askren keeping moving, preventing Bush from controlling successfully. Bush has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Bush wants to stand but Askren has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Bush wants to control from the top but Askren keeps moving.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Bush shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Askren is trying to defend but Bush finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Bush wants to control but Askren is keeping him busy. Bush is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Bush perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bush is trying to control. Askren wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Bush stalling away here and it's allowed Askren to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Bush wants to get up but he can't break Askren's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Kyle Bush has got the better of the ground game so far. Bush trying to control but Askren is working from the bottom. Bush working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Bush trying to control the position from guard on top but Askren is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bush trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Bush drops back, looking for a kneebar! Askren looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Askren looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Askren! Bush is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Askren asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bush is looking to regain half guard here but Askren keeps moving and retains side control. Bush can't do much from the bottom here. Bush sneaks back into half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The fighters are battling for position here. Bush manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Askren wants to control from the top but Bush keeps moving. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kyle Bush showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Bush misses with a takedown attempt - Askren sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Bush misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Askren closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Bush's guard. Bush is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Bush trying to control but Askren is working from the bottom. Bush is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Bush looking to sit in guard and control but Askren gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Bush manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Askren manages to get himself to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bush working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Askren's head. Askren looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Bush trying to control but Askren is working from the bottom. Bush is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Jake Askren has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Askren working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bush. Bush controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Kyle Bush is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!!
