Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sss Sss (ranked 22662 p4p, 22621 weight class) and Xxx Xxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 126 - 32 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sss Sss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 135 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Sss closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Xxx quickly recovers to half guard.
Sss sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Xxx defending well though.
Xxx preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Sss controlling the action here.
Sss's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Xxx wants to control but Sss is keeping busy and won't allow it.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

A little feinted left hand from Sss on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Xxx darts in looking for a takedown but Sss gets double underhooks and turns Xxx into the cage.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Xxx misses with a wild body shot.
Xxx shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sss as he jumps to the side.
Sss Sss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xxx Xxx.
Sss shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Xxx counters with a nice body kick.
Sss closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Xxx's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sss accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Sss misses with a straight left.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Xxx fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Xxx shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Xxx showed some decent athleticism there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sss is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Xxx's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Xxx's back!

Xxx trying to control the hands but Sss breaks the grip.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Sss just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Xxx trying to control the action but Sss just sinks the hooks in.
Sss biding his time, controlling Xxx.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Sss is not going to allow Xxx to sit and survive in this position.
Sss is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Sss is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Xxx can do to turn this around?

Sss seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Xxx for as long as he can get away with.
Further stalling from Sss.

Xxx might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Sss haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Sss on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Sss shoots in for a takedown but Xxx shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
As Sss backs off Xxx throws a huge counter combo but Sss manages to avoid it all.
Xxx fails with a takedown attempt.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Xxx fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sss looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Xxx is fending him off so far but Sss persists. Nope, Xxx circles away and we're back to standing.
Xxx replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Sss blocks it well.
Xxx Xxx has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Sss Sss is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Nice takedown defense from Sss. No joy for Xxx on that attempt.
Sss jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

Well Sss has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
