Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roderick Atkinson (ranked 24525 p4p, 2019 weight class) and Dechen Tsering (ranked 179 p4p, 109 weight class). Tsering has chosen Мен – тыва мен as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roderick Atkinson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Dechen Tsering! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Vladimir Khabensky and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Atkinson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Dechen Tsering seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. No joy there for Atkinson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tsering looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Atkinson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Nice sprawl there from Atkinson as Tsering shoots in. Tsering throws a jab when Atkinson was well out of range. Tsering throws a big shot that misses. Atkinson pushes Tsering up against the cage in a clinch. Atkinson gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Tsering regains guard.
Atkinson looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Atkinson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Tsering trying to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Atkinson wants to stand but Tsering is controlling his posture from full guard. Tsering looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Atkinson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Atkinson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Tsering is looking for a triangle but Atkinson pushes his legs off easily.
Atkinson with a flurry of punches that miss. Atkinson is looking to work some ground and pound but Tsering has wrist control. Atkinson is stalling in the full guard. Atkinson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Tsering kicks Atkinson off and gets to his feet. Atkinson rushes Tsering and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Atkinson pulls guard successfully.
Atkinson pulls Tsering in to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tsering content to stall in guard here. Atkinson wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tsering trying to control but Atkinson is working from the bottom. Atkinson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Atkinson tries to get out of the position. Atkinson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Tsering preventing the sweep. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Atkinson keeping moving, preventing Tsering from controlling successfully.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Tsering tries to keep at a distance but Atkinson has taken the fight into the clinch. Atkinson prevents a takedown attempt there.
Roderick Atkinson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dechen Tsering. Atkinson turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Tsering gets back to half guard. Tsering is looking to control Atkinson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Tsering avoid being mounted? Atkinson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tsering does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Atkinson in particular looking to stall. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Atkinson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Atkinson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tsering is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Tsering struggling a bit here. We've been informed that Tsering has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Atkinson content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Tsering wants to control but Atkinson postures up. Tsering tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Atkinson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Atkinson works to advance to full mount. Tsering defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Tsering is looking to get to half guard. Atkinson with good strikes from the mount here! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Tsering rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Atkinson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Tsering throws the left hand but Atkinson avoids the punch easily. Tsering looks for a takedown but Atkinson sprawls well. Atkinson gets in close and instigates a clinch. Atkinson successfully pulls guard.
Atkinson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tsering can do to turn this around? Tsering trying to control but Atkinson is working from the bottom. Atkinson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tsering gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tsering wants to control from the top but Atkinson keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Atkinson wants to sweep here but Tsering controlling him for the moment. Atkinson pulls Tsering in close to his closed guard and prevents Tsering from doing any damage or advancing position. Atkinson wants to sweep but no luck. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Tsering looking to sit in guard and control but Atkinson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Tsering tries to land a sweep but no joy. Roderick Atkinson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Atkinson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Tsering working a defensive guard here.
Atkinson throwing strikes from guard but Tsering blocks nicely. Atkinson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Atkinson instigates a clinch. A hook to the body from Atkinson.
Atkinson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A decent looking body kick lands there for Atkinson. Tsering is breathing heavily. Atkinson moves into the clinch successfully.
Atkinson misses with a knee to the head. Atkinson putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Tsering in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. A knee to the head by Atkinson.
It looks like Dechen Tsering has been cut. Atkinson jumps into guard, dragging Tsering to the mat.
Atkinson is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Atkinson has his foot on Tsering's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tsering works his way back into a safe position though. Tsering trying to control but Atkinson is working from the bottom. Atkinson is pulling down on Tsering's head. It's preventing any offense from Tsering, at least for the moment. Atkinson looking to control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Atkinson looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Tsering puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round! Tsering shoots for a takedown but Atkinson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Atkinson clinches up with Tsering and pushes him back against the cage. Atkinson pulls guard successfully.

Tsering misses with a takedown and Atkinson counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Tsering thinking. Roderick Atkinson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dechen Tsering. Tsering takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Tsering shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Atkinson as he avoids it easily. Atkinson fires out a quick counter leg kick but Tsering just manages to avoid it. Tsering fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Atkinson looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Atkinson with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Tsering throws a lazy uppercut
and Atkinson counters with a nice body kick.
Tsering chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Atkinson can pounce on him.
Atkinson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A punch lands to the side of Tsering 's head but he takes it in his stride. Atkinson stuffs the takedown. Atkinson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Atkinson works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Atkinson showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Atkinson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Tsering has his foot on Atkinson's thigh. Tsering pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Tsering darts in looking for a takedown but Atkinson gets double underhooks and turns Tsering into the cage. Atkinson quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Tsering misses with a lunging right hand
and Atkinson counters with a nice right hand that sends Tsering toppling to the canvas! Tsering scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Atkinson finish him?!
Tsering is rocked! Atkinson throws a quick inside leg kick. Tsering is still on wobbly legs! Can Atkinson finish him? Atkinson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Atkinson leaves Tsering with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Atkinson moves in close and cracks Tsering with a massive right hand! Tsering, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Atkinson!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:07 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Roderick Atkinson! Dechen Tsering spoke after the fight, saying 'I am but a mortal; I will return when healed.'.
