Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 34 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Diego Hageman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 34 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Krzysztof Zakrzewski!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zakrzewski shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hageman as he jumps to the side.
Zakrzewski tries to clinch there but Hageman circles away.
Hageman shoots in and bounces Zakrzewski off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Hageman trying to control the position from guard on top but Zakrzewski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zakrzewski is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Zakrzewski is looking to take a break and control but Hageman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Hageman has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Zakrzewski is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hageman.

Hageman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Zakrzewski is working away from the top position though.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Hageman had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Zakrzewski defends it easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hageman is looking to sweep but instead, Zakrzewski has passed into half guard.

Horrible takedown attempt by Zakrzewski or perhaps it was just good defense by Hageman, which made it look bad.
Zakrzewski throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hageman's waist but Hageman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zakrzewski off to one side.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hageman pulls Zakrzewski in close to prevent any damage.
Zakrzewski postures up in Hageman's guard and throws a big left but Hageman blocks it.

Well Hageman has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
