Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 21 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Samuel Sycek!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Abdo Farah!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sycek fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Farah, pushing him back against the cage.

Sycek pulls guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Sycek holds on and takes a little breather.
Sycek looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Sycek is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Sycek is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Sycek has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

You can see the frustration on Farah's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That has opened up Abdo Farah's cut even more.

We've been hearing good reports from Sycek's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Abdo Farah's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Abdo Farah's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
