And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 15 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sigandi Legend Jr!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Legend Jr is trying hard to land a takedown here. Alexander sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Nice uppercut lands for Alexander. That snapped Legend Jr's head back.
That has opened up Sigandi Legend Jr's cut even more.
Alexander lands a big head kick that sends Legend Jr tumbling to the mat! Alexander takes a step backwards and waves Legend Jr back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Legend Jr is rocked!
Alexander lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Legend Jr up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Alexander from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Legend Jr's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Phoenix Alexander!
Phoenix Alexander decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
