Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between October Weathers (ranked 3569 p4p, 3164 weight class) and Ben Boone (ranked 0 p4p, 173 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Boone's choice of entrance music: Here Comes the Boom. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, October Weathers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ben Boone! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boone takes one on the button. Nice sprawl there from Weathers as Boone shoots in. Weathers drops his hands momentarily and Boone takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Boone shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Weathers sprawls well. Weathers wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Boone gets slowly back to his feet. Boone shoots and misses and Weathers counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. October Weathers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Boone. Boone blocks a head kick by Weathers.
Boone steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Weathers. Weathers scores with a jab to the head.
Weathers stuffs the takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boone shoots in but Weathers avoids the takedown attempt easily. Weathers throws the left hand but Boone avoids the punch easily. Despite the aggression on Boone's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Boone moves in looking to clinch but Weathers pushes him off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Weathers moves out of range of the strikes. Boone tries for a takedown but Weathers circles away easily and Weathers counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Boone is rocked! Boone takes one to the chin there. Boone is still on wobbly legs! Can Weathers finish him? Boone bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Weathers scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Boone wants to clinch up but Weathers keeps it at a distance. Weathers throwing a counter right hand but Boone manages to avoid it. Boone ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Weathers darts in and clinches Boone up against the cage. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Boone seems to have recovered his senses. Weathers keeps control of Boone as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Boone drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Weathers gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Boone using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Weathers has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Weathers throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Boones head. Boone taking a breather. Weathers lands a nice shot to the body. Still in the clinch, Weathers scores with a nice short uppercut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Boone pulls guard successfully.
Boone looks winded! Weathers seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Weathers has gone for a leg lock! Boone slips out almost immediately though and dives into Weathers's guard. Boone would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Weathers is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Weathers's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Further stalling from Weathers. Boone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Weathers swivels though and keeps the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Weathers being controlled here, momentarily. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Weathers holds on and takes a little breather. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Weathers looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
October Weathers dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Boone fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Weathers was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. October Weathers is winning the standup battle so far. Weathers getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Boone staying out of range there. Weathers looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Boone scores with a jab. Weathers is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Boone can do to turn this around? Boone lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Weathers circles away quickly and effectively. It looked like Weathers wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Boone tries to score a power double leg takedown but Weathers sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Boone somewhat. Boone tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boone closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Boone throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Weathers counter with a right hand. Weathers moves into the clinch. A nice left hand lands by Weathers.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boone tries to break free but Weathers pushes him back against the cage. Weathers digs a right hand into Boone's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Boone's gas tank. Weathers lands with a short head shot on the inside. Stalling in the clinch from Weathers.
Weathers lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Weathers lands a shoulder strike. Weathers scores with a hook to the body. Boone is breathing heavily. Weathers displaying some good clinch control by pressing Boone up against the cage. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Weathers creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Good body shot from Weathers.
Weathers working some nice short punches in the clinch. Weathers gets through Boone's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Weathers throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Boones head. This has been an exciting period of action! Weathers lands a big right hand that drops Boone! The killer instinct kicks in and Weathers finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Weathers!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). October Weathers! October Weathers decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
