The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Almeda scores with a nice strike.

Almeda looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.

Almeda is trying to control the position but Christ postures up.
Almeda is still in real trouble! Can Christ finish him?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Christ stands up from Almeda's guard - Christ perhaps looking for a knockout.
Almeda seems to have recovered his senses.
Almeda fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Christ to the ground. Almeda is now in Christ's guard.
Christ manages to escape and get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Almeda uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Christ has time to react.
Christ rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Almeda moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Almeda tries to close the distance and clinch up but Christ swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Almeda shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Christ counters with a big right hand! Oh Almeda is in trouble here! Christ follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jesus Christ!
