The bell rings for round one and we are underway! This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by Miranda. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Lima has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Miranda keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Lima will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Bruno Miranda has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricardo Lima. Miranda gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lima to score an easy takedown into full guard. Lima trying to control but Miranda is working from the bottom. We've been hearing good reports from Miranda's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Miranda is on top in guard.
Miranda is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Lima has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Miranda is looking to defend but Lima has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Miranda!
