Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matvey Buryckin (ranked 2024 p4p, 2360 weight class) and Bryer McGuire (ranked 233 p4p, 273 weight class). McGuire has chosen Simple Man - Lynyrd Skynyrd as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matvey Buryckin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 33 - 21 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bryer McGuire! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Wagner Zegers and Radbod Blank.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Buryckin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from McGuire. Buryckin dives in for a single leg takedown but McGuire sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Buryckin scores with a shot to the side of McGuire's head. Buryckin misses with the head strike.
McGuire jumps guard.
Buryckin stopping the sweep attempt from McGuire. Buryckin is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buryckin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McGuire swivels though and keeps the full guard. Buryckin is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
 That's one minute gone in the round. McGuire trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. McGuire has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. McGuire keeping full guard, as Buryckin tries to pass.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Buryckin scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Buryckin is pressing down on McGuire's thigh, looking to free his foot. McGuire is holding on for now. Buryckin passes to side control.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Buryckin is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt McGuire will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Buryckin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Buryckin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Buryckin is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. McGuire knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. McGuire really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Buryckin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. McGuire tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Buryckin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Buryckin takes a little break here. McGuire wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Buryckin trying to control the action but McGuire is working from the bottom. McGuire is trying to improve his position. A lull in the action here as Buryckin stalls from top position.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Buryckin working away.
Buryckin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but McGuire is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Buryckin controls the position from side control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! McGuire is not content to let Buryckin control the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Matvey Buryckin dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Buryckin manages to get an easy takedown there - catching McGuire on his heels. He'll look to pass McGuire's guard now, I'm sure. McGuire has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at BattleForged MMA. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. McGuire working a defensive guard here.
Buryckin is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. McGuire looking for a sweep. Not yet McGuire, not yet. Buryckin is pushing down on McGuire's leg trying to pass to half guard. McGuire is fighting to maintain full guard but Buryckin has managed to sneak the leg through. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buryckin is taking a breather. McGuire says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
 That's one minute gone in the round. McGuire is looking to escape. Buryckin with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. McGuire won't allow Buryckin to pass to mount. Buryckin takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
McGuire clinches. McGuire is looking to take this one to the mat. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Buryckin lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Buryckin lands an uppercut. Buryckin misses with a hook to the ribs.
McGuire gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Buryckin.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
Buryckin is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. McGuire can't fight it off and eventually Buryckin manages to take the fight to the floor. McGuire looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Buryckin is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that McGuire can do to turn this around? McGuire pulls Buryckin in to control the position. Buryckin is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McGuire looking to hit a scissor sweep but Buryckin is one step ahead there. McGuire trying to keep a closed guard but Buryckin is proving a slippery customer.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. McGuire wants to sweep here but Buryckin controlling him for the moment. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McGuire can do anything to dispel that myth. Buryckin controls from within his opponent's guard.
Buryckin avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Buryckin stays in close to McGuire's body and controls the position.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Buryckin shoots for a double leg takedown but McGuire sprawls well. He's pushed Buryckin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Buryckin shoots in looking for a takedown. McGuire tries to sprawl out of it but Buryckin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McGuire manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matvey Buryckin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Buryckin dives in and grabs McGuire's left leg, looking for a takedown. McGuire pushes down on Buryckin's head and hops out. Buryckin misses with a takedown and McGuire counters with a stiff right hand. McGuire throws a series of punches but Buryckin moves out of range. Buryckin feinted with a counter takedown. Buryckin closes this distance looking for a takedown but McGuire circles away.
McGuire lands a big head kick that sends Buryckin tumbling to the mat! McGuire takes a step backwards and waves Buryckin back to his feet - he wants the finish!
 Buryckin is rocked!
 It looks like Matvey Buryckin has been cut. McGuire lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Buryckin - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for McGuire!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bryer McGuire! A very excited looking Bryer McGuire made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
